Beth Betz
Beth serves as a Pre-K 3 teacher, working with older three- and four-year-olds, and has been part of Faith MMO since its very first year in 1998. With 28 years in the program, she brings a legacy of experience, care, and dedication to early childhood education. Prior to joining MMO, Beth spent 11 years as a Special Education teacher, working with children with a wide range of needs, including learning disabilities, developmental delays, autism, and behavioral challenges. She has also taught preschool at OldSchool Co-Op, further expanding her experience in nurturing young learners.

Beth finds great joy in seeing the world through the eyes of children and considers it a privilege to be part of these important early years. She loves guiding children as they grow, learn, and develop into kind, confident individuals. To Beth, Faith MMO is more than a school—it is a ministry. She values the warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe to learn and play, and where meaningful relationships are built with families over time. In her classroom, her goal is for every child to feel loved and appreciated for who they are, while also learning kindness, compassion, and the love of Jesus through everyday moments.

Outside of MMO, Beth is married to her husband, Carter, who recently retired after working with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as an IT specialist and previously with the United States Forest Service. They have two children—Caroline, who is married and recently welcomed her first baby (making Beth a proud first-time grandmother), and Joseph, who lives independently and works for Domino's. Beth and her family have lived in Watkinsville, Georgia for over 36 years and are members of Faith Presbyterian Church. She enjoys going to movies, dining out with friends, playing pickleball, walking, and spending time with family.

In the classroom, Beth especially loves Circle Time, where children gather to learn about the weather, calendar, and days of the week through songs, movement, and engaging activities. She enjoys teaching through play and creating interactive moments that make learning fun and memorable. Beth has a sweet and salty snack palette—she loves toffee, Buttercrisp cookies, Himalayan sea salt popcorn, and Dots pretzels—and prefers sparkling drinks like black raspberry Sparkling Ice or a treat from Dairy Queen. She also enjoys shopping at T.J. Maxx, Marshall’s, Target, and Belk, and has a passion for thrifting—especially finding treasures for her home, classroom, and new grandbaby.
