Brandy Ferris
Brandy serves as a substitute teacher at Faith MMO, supporting a variety of classrooms and bringing with her a rich background in early childhood education. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia and began her career as a state-funded Pre-K teacher at the McPhaul Child and Family Development Center on campus. Brandy went on to teach in both public and private school settings for 17 years before transitioning to homeschool her own children. She continues to stay involved in education by teaching classes at her homeschool co-op.
Brandy loves building connections with each child and watching them grow in all areas of development. She is drawn to the strong sense of community at Faith MMO, where the church, teachers, families, and children all come together in such a meaningful way. Her heart is that every child feels seen, heard, and deeply loved in the classroom.
Outside of MMO, Brandy is a mom to two teenagers—one in college and one being homeschooled. She enjoys focusing on health and fitness, caring for her many family pets, and going on Jeep adventures. In the classroom, she especially loves leading songs and finger plays with the children. Brandy enjoys skinny dipped snacks, a decaf Americano with heavy cream, and relaxing at Sugar Polish in Wire Park. Fun fact: she has been best friends with her neighbor since they were toddlers—nearly 50 years of friendship!
