Brenda Hicks
Brenda serves as a teacher in our T1 classroom, working with our youngest children, and has been a part of Faith MMO for an incredible 21 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiotherapy from the University of Toledo, which included coursework and an internship in child development. During her college years, she also worked as a nanny, further shaping her love and understanding of caring for young children.

Brenda loves the intelligence and humor of little ones, recognizing how much they are constantly learning and processing. She values the strong, supportive community among the teachers at Faith MMO, describing it as a sisterhood rooted in love, encouragement, and prayer. In her classroom, she focuses on helping children feel deeply cared for while also learning foundational life skills like kindness, sharing, patience, and respect for others.

Outside of MMO, Brenda and her husband are empty nesters who enjoy traveling, attending sporting events—especially Braves baseball, college lacrosse, and football—and spending time outdoors riding their e-bikes. They also care for their two dogs and two cats, and occasionally help with their grandchildren. Brenda has a special love for children’s books, especially those by Ellie Holcomb, and enjoys watching her students light up during music time as they sing and dance with joy. She loves Diet Coke and chocolate candy, enjoys browsing J.Jill and T.J. Maxx, and spending time antiquing. Her dream trip is a beachside shelling adventure along Florida’s Gulf Coast, exploring remote spots for snorkeling and collecting shells.
