Christy West
Christy serves as a teacher in our PK1 classroom and has been part of Faith MMO for three years, with an additional 14 years as a parent in the ministry. She is a registered nurse and has spent the past 18 years as a devoted full-time mom to her four children. Through her own family’s experience, Christy has seen firsthand the lasting impact Faith MMO has on children and families, and she considers it a true blessing to now be part of that same ministry.

Christy loves the faith-based, nurturing environment that Faith provides, where children are consistently cared for by long-term teachers who create stable, loving classrooms. Chapel is especially meaningful to her, as it gives children the opportunity to learn about Jesus and His love. She is passionate about helping each child and parent feel seen, valued, and loved—especially in the PK1 age group, where many families are experiencing their first time in a classroom setting. Christy understands the emotions that can come with this transition and makes it a priority to support families through communication, updates, and reassurance.

Outside of MMO, Christy and her family stay busy with sports, often found at the baseball field or volleyball court. She loves spending time outdoors, especially in the mountains, and enjoys crafting creative projects and sensory activities for her students to take home and treasure. Christy has a sweet tooth (she loves anything from Sour Patch Kids to chocolate), enjoys coffee with a splash of vanilla creamer, and can often be found shopping at local favorites like Foot Palace or Sugar Polish. She married her high school sweetheart and has lived in Oconee County her whole life. Fun fact: she has a fear of balloons—something her family finds both funny and memorable! Her life verse is Jeremiah 29:11, which reflects her heart and faith in God’s plan.
