Jan Hall
Jan serves as a Pre-K 2 teacher, working with three- and four-year-olds, and has been part of Faith MMO for 10 years. She earned her Early Childhood Diploma from Athens Area Technical College and brings a wealth of experience from her time as a paraprofessional, Vacation Bible School director, youth leader, and currently as a kindergarten teacher at Oconee schools. Her diverse background and love for children make her a steady, nurturing presence in the classroom.
Jan finds so much joy in watching children grow and learn, and she especially treasures the hugs that come along with each day. She loves the strong sense of community among the Faith MMO staff, describing it as a true sisterhood built on love and support. In her classroom, Jan focuses on helping children feel deeply loved while also teaching important early skills like fine motor development through coloring, cutting, sorting, and even introducing ASL. Most importantly, she hopes each child begins to understand the love of Jesus in a meaningful way.
Outside of MMO, Jan is married to her husband Tony, a volunteer firefighter in Oconee County and an avid bass fisherman. They have one son, Brooks, and are members of Watkinsville First Baptist Church. Jan enjoys reading, cheering on Georgia Bulldogs football, teaching and playing Mah Jongg, beach vacations, and photography—especially capturing sunrises and sunsets. She loves sweet and salty treats like Hu chocolate and warm snickerdoodles, enjoys a good latte, and can often be found browsing Marshall’s or T.J. Maxx. While she doesn’t have grandchildren yet, many of the children and families she has cared for over the years lovingly call her “Momma Jan.”
