Josée Garceau
Josée serves as a Pre-K 4 teacher and has been part of Faith MMO since 2009. She earned her baccalaureate in education in Canada and began her teaching career in a kindergarten French immersion classroom before moving to the United States. With years of experience and a heart for young learners, Josée brings warmth, joy, and intentional care to her classroom each day.
Josée loves the spontaneity, innocence, and honesty of children, and she has a special gift for making them laugh and feel at ease. She treasures the sense of family among the teachers at Faith MMO and creates a classroom environment where children feel safe, heard, and deeply loved. Her goal is for every child to experience the love of God in a tangible way—and in her classroom, a smile is always required at the door.
Outside of MMO, Josée is a mom of four, and both her and her husband’s families live in Quebec, Canada. She enjoys gardening, crocheting, and cooking, and values time spent with her family. One of her favorite classroom traditions is raising caterpillars and watching them transform into butterflies—an experience that never fails to delight the children. She also loves reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, a favorite from her own children’s younger years. Josée enjoys salty snacks, iced or frozen coffee with cream and sugar, and relaxing at home with a little online shopping (with an occasional trip to Kohl’s). Fun fact: she loves long-distance driving!
