Julia Dobish
I am the Director of our Mother’s Morning Out (MMO) here at Faith. I’m originally from Northern Virginia and moved south to attend Covenant College, majoring in chemistry and minoring in French.  I completed my masters in chemistry at Vanderbilt University, where I met my husband, Mark (also a chemist). In 2012 we moved to Athens and have been here since. We have four kids and a dog: Elliot, Betsy, Colin, Coco, and Penny. We stay very busy as a family between church activities and sports, but in my free time I enjoy running, hiking, gardening and cooking.

As members of Faith, my husband and I love the MMO ministry of our church and know firsthand how special this preschool is as all four of our kids attended. God has given me a heart for young moms who are in the trenches of the earlier years of motherhood. When my kids were very young, I started a playgroup at Faith to find fellowship with other moms. We enjoyed meeting and talking while our kids played on the church playground, sharing the joys and challenges of motherhood and being in genuine fellowship. It was a precious time with sweet moms that made lasting friendships. Serving as the Director of MMO has been a natural transition for me to continue to love and encourage younger moms and families as they walk through the beautifully exhausting preschool years with their kids.
